Best Psilocybin Retreats in the Netherlands: How to Compare Your Options

A practical guide to comparing psilocybin retreats in the Netherlands — from preparation and group size to integration, pricing and the complete participant journey.

Psilocybin retreat venue and garden in the Netherlands

Choosing the best psilocybin retreat in the Netherlands can be difficult.

At first glance, many retreats appear similar: a peaceful location, experienced facilitators, legal psilocybin truffles and several days away from everyday life.

But look more closely and there can be significant differences in group size, preparation, facilitation, programme structure, integration and price.

Some people want a small and personal retreat. Others prefer a larger community experience. Some are primarily interested in the psilocybin ceremony, while others are looking for a broader transformational process that begins before the retreat and continues afterwards.

There is therefore no single retreat that is best for everyone.

The more useful question is:

Which psilocybin retreat is best suited to you?

This guide provides a practical comparison of what to look for — and where Elevated Mind Retreats sits within the Dutch retreat landscape.

If you're earlier in your search, our How to Choose a Psilocybin Retreat in the Netherlands guide explores the most important selection criteria in greater depth.

Every retreat provider has its own philosophy, strengths and approach. These are some of the factors we believe are worth comparing when choosing a professionally guided psilocybin retreat.

Look Beyond the Ceremony

One of the biggest differences between retreats is how much of the experience happens outside the psychedelic ceremony itself.

At Elevated Mind Retreats, the residential retreat lasts three days and two nights, but the participant journey extends across approximately four weeks.

Preparation begins around two weeks before arrival.

It starts with our comprehensive Participant Intake Form, which is personally reviewed before participation is approved. Participants then have a one-to-one video call with a facilitator to discuss their motivations and intentions, understand the process and begin their preparation work.

Before arrival, participants receive our 17-page Participant Guide, intention-setting and trigger work, practical preparation guidance and access to a retreat-specific WhatsApp group where the group can begin connecting.

This preparation leads into the three-day residential retreat.

Rather than treating breathwork, time in nature, music, group work and the psilocybin experiences as separate activities, the programme is designed as a continuous journey in which each stage supports what follows.

After returning home, participants receive our 25-page Integration Guide, the retreat playlists, breathwork techniques and recommendations for the first days of integration.

Approximately two to three weeks later, the group meets again online for a live integration call, while the WhatsApp group remains open for continued connection and peer support.

This is why we believe the number of nights alone tells you relatively little about the depth of a retreat.

The Elevated Mind Reset Method

Another factor worth comparing is whether there is a clear framework connecting preparation, the retreat itself and integration.

Our approach includes the Elevated Mind Reset Method.

The method consists of four stages: two before the retreat and two afterwards. It helps participants identify limiting beliefs and recurring patterns before attending, and then consciously work with the perspectives and insights that emerge afterwards.

A psychedelic experience can sometimes bring a pattern into awareness with remarkable clarity. But recognising a limiting belief isn't necessarily the same as changing it.

The Reset Method is designed to help bridge that gap.

Not every participant engages with the method to the same depth, and that's completely fine. Everyone comes to a retreat with different intentions.

For those who want to continue the work afterwards, the method also forms the basis of our optional one-to-one integration programmes.

How Much Does a Psilocybin Retreat in the Netherlands Cost?

Price is understandably part of choosing a retreat, but comparing headline prices alone can be misleading.

Among established providers we reviewed, comparable three-day retreats are currently advertised at approximately €1,875 to €2,350 per person, while longer premium programmes combining residential retreats with extended preparation, coaching or integration can cost €3,500–€4,000 or more.

At Elevated Mind Retreats, our current 3-Day Retreat pricing is:

Option

Price per person

Early Bird – shared

€1,349

Regular – shared

€1,599

Couple/Friends

€1,649.50

Private single room

€1,799

The Early Bird rate doesn't provide a reduced programme. Participants receive the same core preparation, retreat experience and integration support.

The retreat price includes screening and personal review, a one-to-one preparation call, our Participant Guide, intention-setting and preparation work, the retreat-specific WhatsApp group, accommodation and meals, small-group facilitation, breathwork and other guided practices, the psilocybin experiences, our Integration Guide and a live group integration call.

Participants who want additional individual support can also choose optional one-to-one integration programmes afterwards.

This places Elevated Mind Retreats below several established premium providers on headline price, while our standard retreat still includes support across approximately four weeks of the participant journey.

When comparing prices, we therefore recommend looking beyond the number of nights and asking:

“What support is actually included across the complete journey?”

Pricing comparison based on publicly advertised prices checked in August 2026. Programmes, accommodation and inclusions differ between providers, and prices may change.

Which Type of Psilocybin Retreat Is Right for You?

Even after choosing a provider, the right retreat format depends on what you're looking for.

At Elevated Mind Retreats, we offer several different experiences:

If you're looking for...

Consider

Personal transformation

A women-only environment

Relationship growth

A deeper return experience

Complete privacy

For many first-time participants, the 3-Day Psilocybin Retreat provides the most balanced introduction.

Others deliberately choose a Women's, Couples, Advanced or Private Retreat because that environment better matches their intentions, previous experience or desired level of privacy.

There isn't one format that is right for everybody.

Is Elevated Mind Retreats Right for You?

Elevated Mind Retreats may be particularly suitable if you're looking for more than an isolated psychedelic experience.

Our approach is designed for people who value:

  • careful screening before acceptance

  • personal contact and preparation before arrival

  • a maximum of 10 participants on our standard 3-Day Retreat

  • approximately one facilitator for every four participants

  • breathwork as an integral part of the experience

  • a structured process before, during and after the retreat

  • the Elevated Mind Reset Method

  • continued integration and community afterwards

It may not be the right choice if your main priority is finding the lowest-priced psychedelic experience available, joining a very large retreat community or participating in an experience focused primarily on the psilocybin ceremony itself.

Our approach deliberately places considerable emphasis on what happens around the psychedelic experience.

For us, the ceremony is important.

But it is only one part of the journey.

Finding the Best Psilocybin Retreat for You

There is no universal answer to the question, “What is the best psilocybin retreat in the Netherlands?”

A better retreat isn't necessarily the most expensive, the most luxurious or the one offering the largest number of activities.

It is the one whose approach fits what you need.

Compare how carefully participants are screened. Understand the group size and facilitator ratio. Look at what happens before you arrive and what support remains after you leave. Consider how the programme has been designed and what is actually included in the price.

Read participant experiences carefully, and don't hesitate to ask questions before booking.

Most importantly, pay attention to whether you trust the people who may eventually guide you through such a personal experience.

At Elevated Mind Retreats, we've chosen to build our approach around the complete participant journey: approximately two weeks of preparation, a carefully structured three-day retreat and continued integration afterwards.

If that approach resonates with what you're looking for, you can hear directly from people who have experienced our retreats or explore the different options available.
